GAME DEVELOPMENT
The development of the story, animation, and game are all working side by side. Below you can see some behind-the-scenes and the effort going into this creation for the most immersive experience. Please note that all of this is early stages and content over the last 3 months, we have more content to share/change which is here.

3D MODELLING FOR THE GAME
The great thing about 3D modeling our own assets in-house is we can create anything we like to help drive the story. The other great thing is that we can use our models for both the animation & game. So anything you see in the animation will possibly be used in the game which you can then use, visit and explore.
SOUND EFFECTS
Sound effects play a crucial role in creating an immersive and engaging gameplay experience in NeckVille. The NeckVille island is full of things to do and interact with. You can watch this short video that shows just a small portion of the game mechanics (these are not complete so some may look rougher than others).
Being an open world game, we aim to ensure there is something to do, collect, unlock, fight and enjoy within close proximity of each other.

THE GAME STORY
The storyline in the game NeckVille revolves around a mysterious space rock that crashes into NeckVille Island, causing a series of unexplained events and plunging the town into chaos. The player takes on the role of a hero who sets out to unravel the mystery and save Neckville from destruction.
As the hero explores the island, they discover that the space rock has unleashed a dark energy that is corrupting the land and its inhabitants. The hero must fight their way through hordes of corrupted creatures, solve puzzles, and uncover clues to uncover the truth behind the disaster.
Along the way, the hero meets a cast of colorful characters, each with their own motivations and secrets. These characters help the hero navigate the dangers of NeckVille and provide clues to uncover the truth behind the disaster.
As the hero progresses through the game, they discover that the space rock was not a natural occurrence but was deliberately sent to NeckVille by a malevolent force. The hero must ultimately face off against the mastermind behind the disaster and use their skills and wits to save NeckVille from destruction.
Throughout the game, the hero also discovers the rich history and mythology of NeckVille. By understanding the past, the hero is better equipped to save the present and protect NeckVille's future.
COMPANIONS
In the world of NeckVille, companions can be used to help navigate and defeat the hidden dangers on the island. You can customise your companion and give it a name. Your companion can harness the power of the vials to bring you new abilities to improve your chances of surviving.
WEAPONS
In the world of NeckVille (since the impact of the rock), anything is possible.
The weapons in NeckVille are created using the vials, these vials hold a liquified form of the shards. When properly developed, you can use these vials to bring your weapon to life in a hologram form.
Here are just a few weapons available.
INSTANCES
To create our world of NeckVille we need to use instances on certain things to improve optimization of the game. We plan to have the entire world open and remove as many instances as possible.
We have buildings you can enter instantly without any loading but for things like events, battles, dungeons, and other features we are building, these will be instanced to allow you to team up or go solo and load into areas you can find unique items and challenges.
AI CHARACTERS
The town is full of AI characters who you can interact with to help tell the story and or battle with. Here are some early previews of just a handful of characters we will see in the game.
Some of the AI characters are just friendly townspeople, others are mutated animals, items and things!
Explore all areas of the island to discover as many as you can.
PROGRESS AND MINI GAMES
One of our core goals is to create a game you want to play. We do not want the standard RPG: Go here + Pick Up + Drop off = XP.
The NeckVille island will be full of life and things to do, here is an example of just two of those things you can do.
THE FOUNDERS PUZZLE
The founder's puzzle are puzzles spread across the island. If you unlock all of them, solve the final puzzle with the clues found you will unlock something amazing. When you find out who made them and why you will be shocked!
ZOMBIE EVENT
When the event is triggered it will spawn a shard impacting a nearby area, the zombies will spawn and protect the shard, and if you get too close, they will attack you.

DEVELOPMENT OVER TIME
Let's take a journey from month 1 to month 9 of development (not including story/planning months).
This is only a snippet of changes and improvements made to make this game. The backend planning, modeling, effects, characters, and everything else is not shown here, just the core look and feel of the game.

WORLD BUILDER
Not much information will be provided on this just yet. But completing puzzles, quests, and solving clues around the island will unlock the ability to build this machine and use it.
This is something that will not be available right away but has been built into the game story.
WIDE RANGE OF CUSTOMISATION FOR A UNIQUE GAMEPLAY
In NeckVille, players have the option to customise their character, allowing them to create a unique avatar that represents their personality and style. The customization feature offers a wide range of options, including:

Appearance: Players can customize their character's appearance, including their skin color, hair style, eye color, and facial features. This allows players to create a character that looks just like them or one that is entirely different.

Clothing: NeckVille offers a wide range of clothing options for players to choose from, including shirts, bottoms, shoes, hats, and accessories. Players can mix and match clothing items to create their own unique style.

Weapons and Tools: Players can choose from a variety of weapons and tools to aid them on their adventure, including guns, swords, axes, and wacky items. These items not only help players in combat but also allow them to access hidden areas and collect valuable resources.

Companions: Players can choose to bring a companion with them on their adventure. Companions offer companionship and can also be used to help in combat and gather resources. Companions can be customised to your look and equipped with vials for different abilities.

Abilities: As players progress through the game, they can unlock new abilities and skills that can be customised to suit their playstyle. This allows players to tailor their character to their specific preferences and strengths with the wide variety of vials.
